Used by many of the UK's top anglers, this versatile groundbait has many uses.
Made from premium quality crushed expansion pellets, it is ground slowly to create a very consistent fine mix. Thanks to its fine particles, it's a very slow-sinking groundbait that's perfect for a soft cloud when introduced into a rod pot, making an excellent attractor without overcrowding the fish. Because of its fine texture, it binds well and can therefore be balled or even fed into the margin, forming a fine mat on the bottom that holds fish for hours.
Lee Kerry (England International) says: "Crushed expansions are my guilty pleasure, I use this mix on its own in margins, or added to any mix when fishing open water, it's like the brown crumb of fishmeal baits, an essential addition!
Mixing tips
Supercrush Expander can be mixed in a variety of ways to create baits that perform differently. In most cases, empty the 2 kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2-quart maggot tray with water, pour it over the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then leave to stand for 30 minutes, during which time the water will be absorbed by the groundbait. Then, for best results, to eliminate lumps and create a homogeneous consistency, strain the starter through a sieve and it's ready to use. However, if you want a cloudy mix, keep adding water until you get the right consistency.
