The narrow, tapered profile of the Long Drop Shot allows it to slip easily between seaweed or rocks. Its self-locking eye can be pinched at any point on the line, allowing you to change the height of the lure without having to tie a new knot. Its advantage is also to release the lead in case of hooking and thus to be able to recover your lure. The lead is mounted on a roller to avoid the twisting of the line that is common with the drop shot technique.
