XS Method Eyed Hooks have been designed to target large carp specimens with self-gripping rigs in conjunction with hair rigs. The hook is made from A1 hard wire and is based on the original Gamakatsu Specialist RX hook. The eye has been positioned at an angle of 10 degrees inwards, creating an aggressive angle between hook and line. The slowly inward-curving point remains straight against the shank and hooks very directly onto the lip. The XS wire, which is forced through the bends, makes the hook extremely strong, enabling it to be used on heavy lines and to exert strong pressure on the hooked fish. The P.T.F.E. coating improves penetration and keeps the point ultra-sharp.
