By pausing during recovery, the lure stays suspended in the layer for 1-3 seconds and then slowly rises to the surface. An action that predators find it hard to resist.
The shape of its body and the Rattle allow it to create strong vibrations that attract predators from afar. The Fat Iris has a swimming depth of between 0.5 and 0.8 m below the surface. It is the ideal model for prospecting areas above seagrass beds, where predators like to hide. The Fat Iris is easily launched at long distance thanks in particular to its aerodynamic shape.
