SONUBAITS BAND'UM WAFTERS - 6MM

Wafters have been used by specimen anglers for many years. Wafters were first introduced by Sonubaits 2014 in smaller sizes to attract anglers. Since then, the flavors and colors have changed, but the principle remains the same.

A wafter should float, but sink slowly with the weight of a hook attached. This balances the wafter and makes it undulate. Because it floats when a fish is feeding, it will rise faster than a standard bottom bait in the fish's mouth, resulting in more hooks.

If it sinks without the weight of the hook, it's not a wafter, but a normal sinking bait that won't work as a wafter should. Always check your wafter in a tub of water before using it.

Band'um Wafters are baits with buoyancy somewhere between that of a bottom bait and a pop-up, designed to counterbalance the weight of the hook.

Perfect for use with a Method Feeder, the Band'um Wafter sits just above the pile of pellets or groundbait on the Method Feeder, meaning that when a fish feeds, the Band'um Wafter projects into the fish's mouth, resulting in more and faster bites.

The Band'um is the perfect hook bait for use with a bait ring, its unique cylindrical shape with bulbous ends means it can be banded easily using a Pellet Bander or Bait Bander and the bait ring sits neatly in the thinner central section of the Band'um, meaning the hook sits perfectly just below the middle of the bait, which means more fish hooked. What's more, the Band'um is less likely to be pulled out of the hair, allowing you to fish with greater confidence and efficiency.

Band'um Wafter is also an ideal bait for pellet waggler, as it sinks more slowly than a standard bait, Band'um Wafter spends more time in the feeding zone than a standard bottom bait, giving carp more opportunities to take it.

Band'um Wafters are the hook bait of choice for many experts as they are perfect for all fish species, including carp, bream, skimmers and F1s.

As the buoyancy of the Band'um Wafter is counterbalanced by the weight of the hook and ring, you'll need to find the right hook for your presentation. Generally, a size between 12 and 16 is sufficient to balance the Band'um Wafter, but this depends on the type of hook used.

Available in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm in Banoffee, Pineapple & Coconut, Krill & Squid, Chocolate Orange, Washed Out, Power Scopex and Fluoro flavours, each generously sized barquette contains mixed colors complementing their attractive flavour to suit any fishing situation. A good tip is to constantly change the color of your bait until you find the one the fish prefer that day.
